When Kinda, the last born of the five megayachts sistership built by Tankoa so far, was delivered in April 2022 she ranked 923rd in the special list dedicated to worldwide superyachts.
Almost 50 meters in length, 49.99 to be precise, maximum beam of over 9 meters and a draft of less than 2.5 meters are this jewel’s numbers. Kinda is the fourth in size to come out of the Genoese shipyards. She was created by Francesco Paszkowski Design. The studio drew the exterior and interior areas together with Margherita Casprini.
Tankoa’s superyachts, as indeed all the other boats in this category, are meticulously designed down to the last detail. An example can be the owner’s cabin, where a Turkish bath has been created. Guests can be hosted in five snug suites. Their comfort on board is ensured not only by a Jacuzzi infinity pool (for the first time in the bow on a Tankoa) and a beauty salon, but by nine crew members as well. Kinda, however, is not only about snugness: with her aluminum hull and superstructure and her teak decks, this semi-displacement superyacht can guarantee outstanding seaworthiness even at high speeds.
Thanks to her two Man/Siemens diesel-electric engines, she can reach 18 knots, comfortably cruising at 14 knots.
The circa 65,000 liters of fuel stowed in the tanks can guarantee a 4,000-mile range on long routes, while the draft of less than 2.5 meters allows who’s in control of Kinda on the bridge to approach the coast without too many worries, not just for the yacht but also for the environment.
In the engine room, the two the two Man /Siemens are the core of a hybrid propulsion system displaying three cruising modes: diesel-mechanical, diesel-electric and fully electric, an option that gives Kinda the chance of cruising even within protected areas.
